Saturday with Jonathon

After being rudely woken by power tools shortly after 8am, I enjoyed a leisurely start to the day before walking round to Jonathon and Yu Rong. In daylight I was able to get the clear view of the back of their house - now visible because of a demolition.

After coffee, I  inspected the garden with Jonathon, admiring and  identifying some plants and for some, their possible problems.

I suggested and supervised while he pruned and sprayed and pulled out a few things I suggested were highly undesirable. I also met some local wildlife.

Gardening in Sydney is a learning curve; subtropical is vastly different to temperate Hobart.

After a trip to Bunnings, a Vietnamese lunch at Chatswood Chase, and a trip to Coles, we spent some time repotting assorted plants in a variety of medium, largely as advised by AI to accommodate Sydney's soggy climate.

We also potted one of my Pleione formosana and found what I thought might be a good location for it. A bit of an experiment on my part to see if it will flower in Sydney. By September we should know.

I returned to my Airbnb for a rest before joining Jonathon again (Yu Rong had gone to a friend's birthday celebration) for a rather superb bbq dinner.
